Holidays in Ibiza Island

Here is a great place to spend holidays in Ibiza Island in the summer period but it is wonderful in wintertime too, due to its very mild weather with moderate temperatures and an occasional refreshing drop of rain.


The first or second most popular country for tourism in Europe depending on different nationalities, Spain has always been a well favoured holiday destination.

People come here mainly for its lively atmosphere and fiestas, its blazing sun, its imposing landscapes and welcoming population.


Until the 50s, Ibiza was almost unknown and almost unfrequented. Fearful that the recent wars could threaten human, many artists of that time they started looking for full freedom, and stopped their advance on Ibiza. With an area of 571.04 sq. km, Ibiza (Eivissa in Catalan) is the third largest in the Balearic Islands. It is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, about 80 km from the Spanish coast. Ibiza and Formentera neighbor they are called "Islands PINE".

Population "White Island" with a little over 100,000 inhabitants. Most are around towns Ibiza, Sant Antoni and Santa EULAR. Nostradamus believed that Ibiza will be the only place on Earth where there will be conditions necessary life after a nuclear disaster: "Ibiza will be the last refuge of the Earth after Armageddon." Soothsayer French claimed that the wind will knock in a way that will protect the island.

Phoenicians said, and they, as an island of Ibiza is blessed, because the red soil is not fertile volcanic nature and shelters species of plants or animals that can hurt humans. Even today there people wearing talismans containing earth from Ibiza Island.

Ibiza is the most beautiful of the Balearic Islands with its amazing cove beaches and high towering cliffs. Touted the White Island, Ibiza has around sixty Ibiza beaches but is also known for its great variety of coastal and inland natural beauty.

Places to Holidays in Ibiza Island

Sant Antonio - Sant Antonio (San Antonio) is the largest and liveliest resort on the island. The long, wide bay, with its shallow waters, is ideal for sun-bathing. The town is a web of streets flanked by a sturdy church and the coastline covered with terraced cafes. San Antonio features hundreds of bars, pubs, and outrageous nightclubs.

Santa Eulalia - Situated on the South-Eastern side of Ibiza, Santa Eularia is the less crowded area of the island. It includes the towns of Santa Eularia, San Carlos, Port des Torrent, Santa Gertrudis and a wide extension of countryside. Many of the island's favourite beaches are located here. Close by are a nudist beach and a salt flat.
